Everything I do…I do in my car!
YAY! For the 2004 Honda Civic — with new tires and one missing hubcap. Ya. I’m pretty broke.
But anyway, ‘member how I mentioned the “Price is Right” search for a new spokesmodel person thing? Well I went to the audition. It was fun! I’ve been to soooooooooooooooo many auditions and none have ever treated us so nicely. Seriously
These past two auditions I have gone on, have been exceptional. So this one for the P is R was at CBS in Studio City. They totally shuttled us from the parking structure to the stage, then at the stage (keep in mind this is JUST THE AUDITION) had stylists there to DO OUR HAIR!!! (random) and then after the audition sent us home with a parting gift. It was random. I’ve never seen such hospitality during an audition.
The one b4 that one, was for the informercial, right? And that one was a call back. Now, again, usually at auditions and call backs there are NO FRILLS. It’s a rat race. Everyone after the ONE coveted spot, casting directors aren’t exactly eager to extend a hospitable hand. But totally different at this one too! At the call back — they had full makeup there. Random! I bumped into another of the ‘call backs’ and she felt the same way. I overheard her excitedly saying “OH SO I BOOKED THIS?!?” thinking what I thought, WHAT THE HELL IS MAKEUP DOING HERE ON A CALL BACK?!?
So kudos to those two castings. Seriously.
Anyway, heres a vid from my drive from the OC (woop, woop!) to LA for the P is R thing. Sorry didn’t get any actual audition footage. I suck.
